Our research shows that five key dimensions underpin strong leadership performance:
Each leader’s degree of strength and competence will vary across these dimensions. Our programs assist leaders to recognise and leverage their areas of strength while also acknowledging and addressing those areas that may hinder overall effectiveness. For example, a leader might be high on “Achieving” and may regularly exceed expectations in the delivery of tasks or work. However, if they are low on “Relating” and don’t pay sufficient attention to their impact on others, this could significantly diminish their leadership effectiveness.
This Framework is used as a guide for leaders and does not replace an organisation’s existing leadership model where one exists. The five dimensions in the framework are universal. Most leadership models address these dimensions in some way while most current assessment tools provide feedback on these areas.
